March Madness
We had a GREAT time at March Madness this year! We enjoyed watching the basketball games, playing board games ourselves, and having dinner together.

We want to say a special Thank You to Deb Wilson for organizing this event. Her efforts, and the efforts of her "staff" made March Madness a great event and one to be remembered.

The Arc of Indiana Pathways to Empowerment Forum
The Arc of Tippecanoe County hosted one of 6 Regional Forums for The Arc of Indiana's Building Pathways to Empowerment Campaign. Thank you to everyone who came. We had a good representation of self-advocates, family members and providers.

After hearing introductory remarks from The Arc of Indiana Director John Dickerson, participants broke up into discussion groups to generate ideas on key initiatives of the Pathways Campaign:

At one table, a provider mentioned a client who wanted to be a chef and she was wondering how to support that goal. One person remembered the name of "Dream Dinners" business in our area where you assemble dinners to freeze, another person used her Blackberry to find the location and phone number and the provider had a new contact to try the next day!

Our ideas and thoughts will be compiled with the data from the other forums and used to further these 5 initiatives. In the meantime, share your ideas and talk with each other in our Parent, Self-Advocate and Provider Forums, and share innovative ideas as well as information about innovative programs and services in your area on the “Innovation” section of The Arc’s Pathways website.
