Mid March Update
So much is happening this month we want you to be a part of we're sending out a Mid-Month update.
Some of you might remember we did this last month too. If the first few months are anything to go
by, 2011 looks to be a busy and exciting year for The Arc!
The Arc of Indiana Pathways to Empowerment Forum
The Arc of Tippecanoe County is hosting one of 6 Regional Forums for The Arc of Indiana's Building
Pathways to Empowerment Campaign. We encourage all of you to attend this event next Tuesday night.
Date: Tuesday, March 22, 2011
Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Registration begins at 6pm)
Where: Amelia Earhart Elementary School Cafeteria, 3260 S 9th Street, Lafayette
Indiana is facing a budget crisis unlike anything we have seen in many years. Every program that people
with disabilities count on is facing huge challenges, at a time when more people than ever before need
help. At this critical time, it is important that we not simply react, but that we act. That is why The
Arc of Indiana launched the Building Pathways to Empowerment Campaign in the spring of 2010. The goal
is to redesign and redefine the system of services for people with developmental disabilities to be a
system that provides what people want and need in the most sensible way possible.
A critical part of the Pathways campaign is harnessing the collective wisdom of families, self-advocates
and providers. WE NEED YOU to attend the Regional Pathways Forum in Lafayette.
