We are pleased to announce our 2018 Prom “Arabian Nights” on Saturday, September 22nd at Bauer Community Center from 5:30 to 8 pm. The cost of admission is $5 per person. RSVP is required to firstname.lastname@example.org
The event will feature a DJ, Dancing, Food, and lots of great decorations. We have an awesome group of volunteers working on flying carpets, waterfalls and lots of other great treasures.
We will be crowning the King and Queen at 6:00 pm. If you and your date would like to be considered for King and Queen, please let Milissa know email@example.com Only couples will be entered into the contest and a picture must be submitted.

The Arc of Tippecanoe County and Purdue Best Buddies are pleased to announce our 2018-19 Call Out. The Event will be Wednesday, September 5th from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at the Tippecanoe County Downtown Library in the McAllister Rooms. This event is for new members of Best Buddies.
Returning members of Best Buddies can use this process to register online:
1. Go to www.bestbuddiesonline.org
2. Click Membership Application tab and select college option
3. Scroll to the bottom and choose “member type”- returning member
4. Enter user name and password

c. If you would like the same Buddy please let us know.
5. Follow prompts to submit information. You will receive an email confirmation of your application within 24 to 48 hours.
• To be in Best Buddies you must be between the ages of 18 and 40 years old.
• You need to attend monthly meetings, be able to get together with your College Buddy once a month, have weekly contact during the school ear and participate in Best Buddies Activities

Aktion Club, a group of Kiwanis for individuals with developmental disabilities is doing a community service project on Thursday, August 30th at LTHC Homeless Services. Aktion Club will be serving the dinner meal. All Aktion Club Members are welcome to attend this event.
Members need to meet at 4:15 outside the Howarth Center on 18th Street.
Please remember to wear closed toed shoes, shirts with sleeves and hair pulled back or up in a hat.

Aktion Club is sponsored by the Harrison Kiwanis and meets the third Thursday of each month at Elmwood Church of Christ at 4:30. All Arc members 18 and older are welcome to attend. This is a great group that does so much good in the Lafayette Community.
We are please to announce Karaoke 2018 on August 17th at Arrowhead Bowling’s Community Room from 6 to 8 pm. The cost is $7 per person and includes a Nacho Bar plus all unlimited drinks. RSVP by August 15th at 5:00 pm to email@example.com.
Please remember to RSVP only if you plan to attend. We have to order and pay for food in advance. If you do not show up we still are required to pay for the meal. If we continue to have problems with RSVP no shows we will have to go to a prepay system for all of our Adult Recreation Events.

I am pleased to announce the first trip for SPARKS on the Go for 2018. We were able to get a special deal at Fair Oaks Farm with admission at just $10 per person!! This includes transportation to and from Fair Oaks on an LSC School Bus. This opportunity all came together at the last minute so I apologize for the short turnaround time.
SPARKS on the GO will be open to all members of The Tippy Arc in 2018. This includes Adults, Kids, Family Members and Support Staff! We have three more trips planned for 2018.
The Fair Oaks Dairy Tour will be Saturday, August 11th and the cost is $10 per person. Everyone who attends must have a ticket. Tickets must be prepaid for the event. You can purchase them online at www.arcoftippecanoe.org for $11 a person using our donate button. You can mail a check but it must be received by Friday, August 10th. You can also drop off payment at the Arc Offices at the Greenbush Arnett Clinic- 2600 Greenbush Street Room 3101- on Wednesday, August 8th from 4 to 6 pm. You can also drop payments off on Thursday, August 9th from 5 to 7 pm during the Direct Services and Prom Committee Meetings.
We will meet at 11:30 at the Greenbush Street Arnett Clinic Parking lot located at the corner of Greenbush and Elmwood Ave to meet the bus. We will return between 5 and 5:30 pm. The bus will be staffed with LSC drivers. We will have Arc staff and volunteers to direct folks but anyone requiring supervision must provide staff or family support to attend the event.
We have a limit of 45 people on this trip due to bus capacity.
