Good Afternoon! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe in these challenging times. I would like to ask you to follow us on Facebook book- The Arc of Tippecanoe County on Facebook. We are posting resources on where to get food, recent updates on the Covid-19 Virus and other community service information. We are also posting activities to keep folks busy at home during our social distancing. I am working towards getting this information on our website as well, but it is all current right now on Facebook.

Please consider making a donation to United Way’s Covid-19 Emergency Fund to help the front line agencies like Food Finders, Mental Health America and Lafayette Transitional Housing. The Arc made a donation of $250 on behalf of our members.

I am available by email and phone if we can help you in any way. We have also set up a new group on our Facebook page called Arc Members Group. It allows you to communicate with your Arc friends in a closed group.

Take Care!! We will be back together dancing the night away before you know it!!

Good Afternoon,

Aktion Club March 19th
Adult’s Dance Club March 21st

Best Buddies has also cancelled all events through May 3rd.

I am working with venues and groups to reschedule events and will post information as it becomes available.

Our Arc on the Go Movie will be April 11th at Eastside 10 Theater featuring the new Trolls Movie. Watch for more information coming soon on this lights up sound down Arc member only showing of the movie.

Please keep yourself informed about the virus. Stay home if you have a fever and wash your hands frequently.

Take care!

As providers and the state prepare for the possibility of an outbreak of the Coronavirus in Indiana communities, The Arc of Indiana is seeking input from families, guardians and people with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Please take a few minutes to respond to this anonymous survey by 12:00 Noon, March 11. The Arc will share your comments with the state.

We have also been notified by Purdue that Best Buddies will not be meeting again until after May 2nd as part of the University’s response to the Coronavirus. I will notify you when I have a May meeting date. You also need to be prepared for Purdue Buddy’s who may not return to campus after Spring Break so outings with your Buddy may not happen during this time as well. It is my understanding that meeting individually with Buddies is up to the student. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The Tippy Arc Board of Directors is working closely with me to come up with an action plan for our organization. Look for an email on Friday about our events and meetings for the remainder of March.

Please take care of yourselves. Stay home if you are sick and WASH YOUR HANDS!!
