You asked for it and I am pleased to announce our new Caregiver Support Group for Tippy Arc Members! This support group is a closed Facebook Group off of our Arc Facebook Page. We have 20 members currently. You can go to our Facebook Page The Arc of Tippecanoe County and click the groups tab. This will take you to a page to answer a few easy questions and get approval to join the group.
The Board decided to go with Caregiving Supports after receiving lots of calls from Caregivers with questions about jobs, housing, online bullying or catfishing and several other issues. We understand that the experts on these issues and lots of other issues, are the Caregivers in our membership. This group will also help us with upcoming Education Programs and Advocacy Efforts. This group was started in early January, we already know that we need to get involved with the DSP- Direct Service Professionals- work the Arc of Indiana is doing this legislative session. Comments and experiences from the people experiencing the problems is what makes people listen.
